Hello, my name is “ProphetJoe” and I inherited this blog from a friend. He named it “Rodeo of the Mind” because he’s a redneck and he like rodeos. Since 8 seconds is the successful time in bull-riding, and about how long a blogger has to get and hold a reader’s attention, he figured Rodeo of the Mind fit the situation pretty well. I agree…
About me personally, I work at a major (liberal) educational institution in the middle of America, so my conservative views are usually challenged as:

• “racist” (I’m not)
• “unenlightened” (please, give me YOUR definition of “enlightenment”)
• “mean” (no, straight-forward… and polite, even when I’m steaming mad inside)
• “offensive” (so… nobody promised you a rose garden!) or
• “intolerent” (well, maybe a little, I am tired of elitists and morons telling us how we should live, work, love and play…)

You ought to know I live by the creed “God, Family, Country” and I believe they’re 3 things worth defending with your life!
